Not too bad. Fairly consistent across the spectrum of flavors. Nose shows some vinegar, and the wine is somewhat ringy, and sour in the back of the throat. Other than the sourness, very smooth, showing the smoothness that seems to be characteristic of the Santa Ema Reserve line. Chocolate and deep berry fruit flavors. I would not be disappointed if I was served this on an airplane, but it is not very impressive otherwise. [March 2000]
