Absolutely flabbergasting. My father promised that this wine would turn me into a Chardonnay drinker. I doubted this, but he spoke very highly of this wine. What an amazing bottle! The body is pleasantly thick and full, the texture is smooth, the flavors are almost smoky. No oak to speak of. I drank this at room temperature (intentionally) and it was phenomenal. I readily admit that I would never have pegged this as a Chardonnay in a million years. Quite marvelous. I believe the bottle is in the $30 - $35 range. [May 2000]
