Caol Ila 10 year old (1989/1999)

Signatory bottling, 43% a.b.v.

Nose shows distinct aromas of barbecued meat, charcoal, and bonfire. Smoky palate with charcoal ashes and maybe some juniper. Heavy herbal finish, perhaps allusions to the herb savory. I keep trying to get more flavors out of it but it is rather reticent. Odd but enjoyable. Cask 1878, Bottle 62 of 306
