Jerry Cantrell:

  4. Satisfy
  5. Hurt a Long Time
  6. Brother
Dream Theater:
10/27/93 and 1986 Demos Stockholm, Sweden A-

The live performance is excellent, and the the early demos (from when they were called "Majesty") gives a fascinating look into the beginning of the band. The first seven tracks are from the former, the last four from the latter.

  2. Mission Impossible

  4. Under a Glass Moon

Dream Theater:
"Acoustic Dreams" Various Sources A/A-

"Acoustic Dreams"

This is a collection of acoustic performances by the band at various times and venues, and is terrifically exciting to me. I have given this an 'A/A-' in recording quality, although quality varies from track to track. Tracks 1 - 7 are absolutely marvelous; a little warbling, probably due to compression somewhere along the route, but otherwise flawless. Tracks 8 - 10 are of slightly worse quality and (oddly) are not acoustic. Tracks 11 and 12 are obviously an audience taping. Highly recommended.

Setlist:
  1. Another Day - Tulsa
  2. Lifting Shadows Off a Dream - Verona, Europe
  3. Wait for Sleep - Verona, Europe
  4. The Silent Man - Verona, Europe
  5. Long Island Expressway - Verona, Europe
  6. Tears - Verona, Europe [Rush]

  10. Caught in a Web - B. Dickenson Rock Show (Not Acoustic)
  11. Voices - "Awake" album party
  12. Bad - "Awake" album party [U2]
Nirvana:
10/31/91 Seattle, WA A

One of the Nirvana recordings most frequently recommended by collectors, this soundboard recording comes from the last stop on their domestic "Nevermind" tour. The sound quality is great, the musicians are in top form, the show is full of vitality and life. Excellent recording and highly recommended.

  1. Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam
  2. Aneurysm
  3. Drain You
  4. School
  5. Floyd The Barber

Pearl Jam:

Pearl Jam Complete MTV Unplugged

Contains full set along with Eddie's conversations between songs. Sourced from nth-generation VHS audio. I did not perform the remaster, so I cannot provide technical detail on that part of the process. Not bad recording, quite listenable. Approximately 3-second gap at the beginning of "Alive". This is very popular on search results, so I'm offering versions for download. Please be cool to the server.

This is not sourced from the commercial "Dissident" CDs but rather from pre-broadcast FM received by the participating radio stations.  Burned onto CD by KROQ in Los Angeles.  I performed the track divisions.  As an experiment, I'm offering mp3 versions of these songs for download.  Be nice to the server, OK?

Pearl Jam:
11/1/95 The Delta Center, Salt Lake City, UT A

Soundboard sourced, and what a gem of a recording!  It earns a solid "A" in sound quality ... sounds much better than the Dissident Atlanta show.  Includes a very early "Red Mosquito" that is just marvelous.  Other highlights include the electric "Footsteps".  As an experiment, I'm offering mp3 versions of these songs for download.  Be nice to the server, OK?

Pearl Jam:
9/29/96 Downing Stadium, Randall's Island, NY A-

Unfortunately this concert does not fit conveniently onto two discs, so if you trade with me I will gladly add another short performance onto the end of Disc 3 (may I suggest Bridge School '96?) The songs on Disc 3 take up less than 14 minutes combined.

A great audience DAT of a great performance. The new version of Corduroy is very exciting: slow, pensive, mature, and destined to become one of my favorite Pearl Jam tracks.

  3. Better Man
  4. Corduroy (new version)
  5. Off He Goes
  6. Nothingman

  9. Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
  10. Yellow Ledbetter
Queensrÿche:
4/27/92 New York? B- Queensrÿche Complete MTV Unplugged

I spent quite a bit of time on this recording. I can provide further technical details, but here is a rundown. Remastered by me from nth-generational VHS audio. I used CoolEdit to remove tape hiss and normalize audio. Sounds much better than the original VHS tape, and I find myself listening to this recording all the time (especially the phenomenal "Anybody Listening?")

  1. Intro
  2. I Will Remember
  3. Intro, The Killing Words
  4. The Killing Words
  5. Intro, Della Brown
