Hi, I’m Joshua McGee.  This is my site.

Me?  I’m a nerd.  I studied mathematics.  I develop software for a living.  I collect stamps, read books, play the guitar, listen to music, watch movies, play Magic: The Gathering, and, especially, spend time with my wonderful son.

You might have gotten here from another family member’s email address, like david, edwin, susan, niall, or so on, @mcgees.org.  This site is not their fault, it’s all Joshua.  If what you got is an email address from spam, the headers are forged.  I’ll prove it to you: look at the “Complete Headers” or the “Original Version”, and see if the token server132 is in there.  Spammers for some reason like to use this as a forged “From:” domain.

If “server132″ is in there, please let me know immediately.  It would mean I’ve been hacked.  I’m pretty good with Linux security, but WordPress has occasional exploits.

mcgees.org is not a nonprofit.  Normal people can get .orgs, too.  By the time I registered, mcgee.com, .net, .org, and mcgees.com and .net were already taken.  This was my sixth choice.  joshuamcgee.com will get you here, too, as will a host of others that people are likely to try.

I maintain an active blog, and lots of static pages and other websites.  Use the sidebar to the right as a guide.  To pigeonhole me, look at the “Sleeve” section of the sidebar.
