Trunk source? The driveway. Or not.
Niall and I were waiting at my mother’s house for carpet cleaners to arrive. The van arrived, was parked in the driveway, and the tech stretched a hose through the front door.
N: Why is there a big hose?
J: It’s actually an elephant in the driveway with a really long trunk.
N: (eyes as big as saucers:) I can’t wait to see it!
J: Sorry Niall, I was joking. Did you know I was joking?
N: No.
J: I’m sorry.
N: That’s OK, it was funny.

You do realize that this means that you owe him a trip to see some elephants, don’t you?
Maybe we could do a zoo trip soon?

Was that the whole story or is it truncated?

Anyone else seeing an AdWords panel for “Elephant Trunk” (”Huge selection of Elephant items at Yahoo”) on the right? This means Yahoo paid Google to return an ad every time “elephant” and “trunk” showed up on the same page. An ad suggesting that — what? — you can get elephant trunks at Yahoo? Strange.
Anyway, time to resuscitate a Magic: The Gathering card I designed fifteen years ago, then redesigned after Mirrodin came out:
Rajah’s Trunk
4
Artifact: Equipment
Equipped creature gets +3/+3, has trample, and is an Elephant creature in addition to its other types
Equip 4
Yes, I was trying to break this.
