eBay Seller: theplace3

I had to leave my first negative eBay feedback in years.  Seller: theplace3.  This date (10 Feb 2008).  Be sure to search.

Let’s see if I get retaliatory feedback, and see if eBay are good to their word about removing it.

Your ad here for US$1/month.  Find out how.

Wow, check the timestamps between the original post and this one.  See how fast the seller was motivated?  The message I got was “Would you be willing to remove your negative feedback if I refunded your payment?”  My response (taunt?):

How many other victims has that worked on?

You’re a crook, and finally, eBay are on my side.  With the feedback reforms, I’ll have no trouble getting any retaliatory negatives removed, even if it takes a few phone calls.  Check eBay news — your predatory days are over.

I see you’ve been on eBay for a few months.  How many IDs is this, now?  Have you been doing this sort of thing since the 90s?  Or are you a newcomer?  You’re not very good at covering yourself, as a pro would have had some microtext in his ad explaining the true nature of your goods.  Unfortunately for you, experienced eBayers such as I would have found it.

So, take a hike, and thanks for sending this through the eBay feedback system.  eBay have a “smoking gun”.  You never responded to requests for contact, but it took you all of 15 minutes to respond to negative feedback.

All this will be chronicled on my blog.  Save us both some time and don’t retaliate, OK?

Now we wait, and see if he’s a smart or a stupid shithead.  A smart one would leave it be.  A stupid one would retaliate, and get kicked off eBay.

Looks like eBay are down for scheduled maintenance.  Let’s see what’s happened in the morning!

I am weirded out by you referring to eBay as a plural entity.

The seller has claimed the license key was provided in the download, in a separate file.  I will follow up on that, and will verify with the publisher company whether this was a legal license key — hard to believe, as it was a quarter of the cost of the registration.

In the meantime, I’m removing the really disturbing stuff (per Karina) from this thread.  Please hold for assistance…
